Manuel Martínez-Sayanes

Manuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Diploma in Business Law (E-1) from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Advice (LL.M.), a Master’s Degree in Corporate and Finance, and an MBA program from IE Business School (IE) with Honors (Dean’s List).

Manuel began his journey at Óptima Mayores in July 2021 as the Legal Co-Responsible, and three months later, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), Co-Director of Legal Affairs and Digitalization. Among many other responsibilities, Manuel co-leads the ambitious digitalization and process optimization initiative through which Óptima Mayores aims to differentiate itself and establish its position as the undisputed leader in equity release product advisory in Spain. Manuel represents Óptima Mayores before EPPARG and many other national and international bodies and institutions.

Manuel has extensive experience as a lawyer (Litigation, Arbitration, and Insolvency) in firms such as Pinsent Masons and Ramón y Cajal, in areas including Finance and Banking, Corporate, M&A, Real Estate, and Insolvency, dealing with both national and international matters. He has collaborated on and delivered sessions on Insolvency Law in the Double Master’s Program for Access to the Legal Profession and Business Law at ICADE.
